Ted is the CEO of Dixon Associates and brings a uniquely powerful background not only to how he
serves the needs of his clients, but also how he leads the team at Dixon Associates. Immediately
after graduating from Bates College in 1990, Ted went on to pursue his master’s degree from The
United States Sports Academy which led him to his first career as a Coach and Administrator at the
collegiate level. Ted’s passion for business drove him to take the leadership skills he developed coaching collegiate athletes into the business world at two successful startups, before joining Dixon
Associates in 2003.

Today, as the CEO of Dixon Associates Ted provides the Vision and Leadership for his team while keeping a close eye on the value, they are providing each client they serve.

Bill Dixon, Founding Partner

As our founder, Bill has set the tone for respectful meaningful, and enjoyable conversations with every person we meet. 
Bill has been serving the personal needs of clients in the financial services industry in several different capacities for more than five decades. He decided to enter the insurance business in 1965 shortly after graduating from Providence College and during the next 15 years held several senior positions in some of the largest financial services firms in North America as a result of his hard work and dedication to the profession.
As a pathfinder in the independent life insurance business Bill had the foresight to see that large insurance companies were beginning to pick narrow target markets in which to specialize. At that point in his career, Bill chose to represent his clients instead of a specific insurance company and
established Dixon Associates in 1980 as an independent brokerage agency.

My goal is to help employers navigate through the ever-growing jungle of health insurance plans, providers, third party administrators, price and pain points to arrive at decisions that make financial and operational sense for their unique business needs.

As a pioneer in the self-funded health insurance sector, a well-known Massachusetts broker, and insurance entrepreneur, I have been helping businesses provide quality employee benefit plans for over 30 years.  I founded Mount Vernon Associates, Inc. in Winchester, MA as a Third-Party Administrator of self-funded medical, dental and disability plans which I sold after 16 years.  I then continued as an independent broker specializing in self-funded plans. This business was sold to a larger multiline agency for whom I worked for 9 years.

I am now the Senior Benefits Consultant at Dixon Associates, Inc. specializing in the administration of self-funded medical plans, including the placement of stop-loss insurance, the preparation of interim and renewal reports and answering technical questions. I especially love working with early stage companies to help them find affordable, quality plans that comply with current regulations and can scale with the growth of their business.

I joined Dixon Associates in 2004 in an administrative role. Today, my focus has grown into managing and overseeing all aspects of the day-to-day operations of Dixon Associates.

Since we are continuously looking for ways to enhance the customer service experience, I strive for ways to streamline processes and provide training to the Dixon Associates team. I have implemented policies and procedures to help our office run more efficiently and allow each of our Brokers to grow their own unique client base.

Having worked for Dixon Associates for over 16 years, I have forged multiple working relationships with our carriers and vendors, thus enabling me to provide a dedicated focus on client relations.  My Accident, Health and Life license provides me with a deep understanding of all processes necessary for resolving complex operational issues.

Combine the ability to multitask; the vision to uncover logical and creative solutions; and the flexibility to adjust continuously to changing responsibilities and priorities and you have some insight into some of the skills I bring to the Client Relations Manager position.

My past experience in various faucets of the financial industry have given me a strong background and transferrable skills. I strengthened all aspects of an investment advisory office with $1 billion assets under management leading to a 20% growth in revenues. Successfully spearhead multiple company-wide projects related to a merger with Wells Fargo Bank. Continuously improved levels or customer service and training to clients.

Serving as a Board Member for RoundUp River Ranch for over 10 years has given me the opportunity to collaborate with board members and officers in strategic planning, fundraising and resource development since the camp’s inception. I acted as advocate and ambassador for the organization while leveraging connections, networks, and resources to develop collective actions to fully achieve the camp’s mission. Today, Round Up River Ranch hosts more than 1,000 children each year, at no cost to them, from an 11-state region.

As a Client Relations Manager at Dixon Associates, our clients are my first priority. I offer a concierge service between our clients, providers and the Dixon team. I will help deliver a thorough benefits overview to your employees.; highlight the various aspects of your benefits packages to aid in attracting and retaining employees. I will also communicate any programs and services offered by our partners that we feel may be beneficial to your business. Expect quarterly “check in” calls from me but don’t hesitate to reach out at any time. I am always looking for ways to streamline processes to make the benefits process seamless.

I joined Dixon Associates in 2016 as an Assistant Benefits Consultant. My top priority is to advocate for our clients, and service and maintain accounts. I also assist with group enrollments and 401K plans. I pride myself on being extremely thorough and efficient. Excellent follow-up and organizational skills help me excel at servicing our clients. I enjoy interacting with clients, providing the highest levels of customer service and problem solving skills which enable them to focus their attention on running their business.

I joined the Dixon Associates team as an administrative assistant in 2009 and have since transitioned to a part time position after the birth of my daughter in 2015. My main focus is to advocate for our clients, service and maintain accounts. I am also the Cobra administrator, and facilitate group enrollments. I pride myself on having a “yes we can” approach and a positive attitude while working directly with clients. My goal is to offer prompt service with a smile.

I joined Dixon Associates in January, 2007, after teaching English and Latin in public and private schools for thirty-four years. Earning B. A. in English from Hiram College and a M. A. in Secondary Education from Framingham State College, I worked in education sector s well as assisting in running my family’s business. Currently I support the brokers at Dixon Associates by requesting and running quotes for life, health, dental, and disability insurances.

Katie Dixon is a native of Duxbury, MA. She is an independent broker with over 20 years of industry experience. Katie specializes in advising small to mid-sized businesses on comprehensive benefit packages for the owner and their employees. As an independent broker, Katie always puts the needs of her clients and their employees first by shopping the vast market place and analyzing the proposals. Katie is passionate about providing superior service to her clients. Many of her clients have been with her for 15 to 20 years.

Peter has 30 years’ experience in various areas of the financial services industry including banking, investment management, and Fintech companies. She received her nursing degree from Ashland University and her MBA from The Ohio State University.
